Cryptic Report Emerges on Broncos-Jim Harbaugh Rumors

As the Denver Broncos' coaching search continues, Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh remains one of the top candidates for the position. The Broncos have already interviewed the 2011 NFL Coach of the Year twice, however, Harbaugh has said that he's committed to staying with the Wolverines.
However, the latest rumors surrounding the saga are cryptic when it comes to the probability of Harbaugh remaining in Ann Arbor. Pro Football Talk reports that anyone expecting the 59-year-old to join the Broncos should "sleep with one eye open on that one," according to a source.
Something I was told this morning about the lingering possibility of Jim Harbaugh to Denver: "Sleep with one eye open on that one."

Jim Harbaugh Broncos Rumors
Although the rumor isn't straightforward, to say the least, it does seem like Harbaugh coaching the Broncos in 2023 is a real possibility. The Toledo, OH native was set to sign an extension with Michigan that would've made him the highest-paid college football coach, but the deal fell through for unknown reasons.
On the other hand, these rumors could be leaked by Harbaugh's camp to get the Wolverines to give him more money. After all, it was only in February 2022 that he said he wouldn't pursue another NFL gig after Kevin O'Connell beat him out for the Minnesota Vikings head coaching job.
If the Broncos don't wind up landing Harbaugh, there are still several worthwhile candidates out there. Some of the names that Denver has been linked to include San Francisco 49ers defensive coordinator DeMeco Ryans, New York Giants offensive coordinator Mike Kafka and former New Orleans Saints HC Sean Payton.

The Broncos are currently one of five NFL teams with vacant head coaching positions. If Harbaugh doesn't wind up being their guy, they must figure out who is before he's snatched up by another needy team.
