If you live on the east coast and went to bed at a normal time last night, you probably woke up on Thursday surprised to find out the Los Angeles Clippers stole another game from the Warriors. Again. At ORACLE Arena.
The Clippers entered Wednesday night's game as 15.5-point underdogs. Their moneyline win was tied for the second-biggest betting upset in NBA postseason history. It was the largest since 2017, when the 17.5-point underdog Boston Celtics topped the Cleveland Cavaliers.
While this win was shocking by itself, we can't really be surprised by anything this Clippers team accomplishes at this point. They've surpassed expectations all season.
While the Warriors still remain in control of this series, and are huge favorites on FanDuel Sportsbook, it can't be a comforting feeling for their team, their fans or their bettors that they're struggling to close out a less-talented Clippers team, especially with the Houston Rockets waiting in the next round.
