Chris Godwin has been one of the most improved players from a fantasy football perspective this season, finishing second among wideouts in fantasy scoring through Week 16. However, an injury has made him unavailable at the end of the season, and that makes Breshad Perriman a great fantasy play again with Godwin likely out in Week 17.

A hamstring injury is a tricky one for any player to bounce back from quickly, but this is especially true for a wide receiver. For this reason, he is likely to be held out of a meaningless Week 17 game, as the Bucs have no incentive to risk making the injury worse.

With both Godwin and Mike Evans out of the lineup, Perriman has really stepped up for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and fantasy owners alike. Over the past four weeks, Perriman has averaged 20.4 fantasy points in PPR scoring, which puts him at WR5 during that time.

Perriman combines both consistency and a high ceiling in this role. He has at least 70 yards in each of the last four games, and he blew up for 100-yards and three touchdowns just two weeks ago. He comes in as WR12 in our Week 17 PPR fantasy football rankings.
