The Kansas City Chiefs will look to earn their third Super Bowl appearance in the last four years when they take on the Cincinnati Bengals in the AFC Championship. Health has been the storyline for head coach Andy Reid's team all week, but fans will be glad to hear tight end Travis Kelce is giving it a go.

Travis Kelce Injury Update

Kelce was a surprise addition to the Chief's injury report on Friday after he suffered back spasms during practice. Although the eight-time Pro Bowler was listed as questionable, Kelce is expected to play, according to NFL insider Adam Schefter. Kansas City fans can seemingly breathe a sigh of relief.

Kelce has been the Chiefs' best offensive weapon, racking up 1,338 yards and 12 touchdowns on a career-high 110 receptions this season. The 33-year-old balled out in a Divisional Round win with 98 yards and 2 touchdowns on 14 receptions, too. The performance got him one step breaking a record.

Jerry Rice is far and away the best NFL Playoffs performer when it comes to pass-catchers, with 2,245 receiving yards to his name. Kelce only needs 54 yards on Sunday to eclipse wide receiver Julian Edelman for second place on that list, though. It's a feat worth keeping an eye on tonight.

The good news keeps on coming for KC. Quarterback Patrick Mahomes practiced in full this past week following his high ankle sprain against the Jacksonville Jaguars. He will start against one of the few NFL teams he has a losing record against. The Chiefs haven't beaten the Bengals since 2018.

Kansas City enters Sunday slated as 1.5-point home favorites in the AFC Championship game, per FanDuel Sportsbook's NFL odds. The Chiefs also have odds set at +230 to win Super Bowl 57.
