Budda Baker Subtly Trolls Andy Dalton Over Interception

Arizona Cardinals defensive back Budda Baker underwent thumb surgery after Week 3's game against the Detroit Lions, but that only cost him one week of action. Since then he's been playing with a cast on his hand.
That cast didn't stop him from intercepting a pass against Andy Dalton and the Dallas Cowboys on Monday night, and his reaction, when asked about catching the ball with a cast on was hilarious.
Budda Baker on how he intercepted a pass with a cast on his hand: “It definitely felt tricky, not being able to squeeze it in. I tried to catch it (by scooping). It went right to my body. It was a great spiral by Dalton and I was able to get it.”

What a perfect, subtle shot from Baker. A great spiral right to the body is exactly what a quarterback is looking to throw — to their own teammates. For Baker to have had such an easy time reeling in the pass was not ideal for the Cowboys.
Cast and all, Baker is having a terrific season for the Cards. After leading the NFL with 104 solo tackles in 2019, he's already racked up 37 solo tackles (45 total) to go with 3 QB hits, 2.0 sacks, 2 pass defenses, 1 forced fumble and now his first career interception across just five games.
Sitting in second place in the NFC West at 4-2 after being the butt-end of plenty of digs with back-to-back fourth-place finishes, Cardinals fans have to enjoy being the ones making the jokes again.
