Buccaneers Get Update on Giovani Bernard Injury

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers didn't just leave their Week 3 loss to the Los Angeles Rams with a bruised ego. Veteran running back Giovani Bernard took a huge hit on his last-minute touchdown score, and he was clearly in pain.
Tampa Bay has gotten an update on Bernard ahead of Week 4.
#Bucs RB Giovani Bernard suffered a slight MCL sprain on his goal-line collision and flip against the #Rams, per source. He’s day-to-day and status for Week 4 vs. #Patriots is TBD. But good news based on how painful that play looked.

Gio Bernard Injury
Bernard suffered an MCL sprain on his score, but it doesn't appear to be serious. He's considered day-to-day, which is better than the team could've asked for considering how it looked at first glance.
The ninth-year pro saw limited usage in Week 1 and 2 before being a key part of the Bucs' comeback attempt against Los Angeles. Bernard grabbed 9 receptions (on 10 targets) for 51 yards and a TD.
It's concerning that the vet is dealing with another injury after a high-ankle sprain limited in the first few weeks, but it's clear he's still a legit receiving threat when healthy.
The Buccaneers head into their Week 4 game against the New England Patriots as 6.5-point favorites, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
