Buccaneers get Great News with Chris Godwin Injury Update

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers' offensive Voltron may be complete sooner than we thought. Chris Godwin's broken finger has promised to delay our first glimpse at what a unit with Tom Brady, Mike Evans, Godwin and Antonio Brown can do.
The most recent update from Wednesday's walkthrough practice, however, left some room for optimism.
Chris Godwin was a full participant in today’s walk-through but coach Bruce Arians said, “We won’t know until Friday if he can catch a ball.”

Of course not knowing if he can't catch a ball isn't ideal, but he was originally expected to be week-to-week with the injury. The fact that there's even a chance he'll be catching on Friday puts him ahead of schedule.
It's also a good sign that he was a full participant in their walkthrough. If the Bucs knew Godwin was going to miss this week's game against the New Orleans Saints, they would likely want to have his replacement walking through with the first-team offense instead.
Even with Godwin's status up in the air, Week 9 odds on FanDuel Sportsbook have the Buccaneers favored by 5.5 points in this one.
