Injuries to pass-catchers have plagued the Tampa Bay Buccaneers throughout the 2022 NFL season. With a tough Week 9 matchup against the Los Angeles Rams on deck, the Buccaneers needed some encouraging news regarding their banged-up receiving room.

Fortunately, that's exactly what they got following Thursday's practice.

Tampa Bay wideouts Mike Evans, Russell Gage and Julio Jones all returned to practice on Thursday. Tight end Cameron Brate also practiced on consecutive days, boding well for his availability this weekend.

Buccaneers Injury Updates

Evans made his full return to practice after being limited Wednesday. The veteran wideout has been dealing with an ankle injury over the last few weeks, meaning Wednesday's limitations were likely maintenance-related. Hopefully he stays healthy and builds off last week's season-high 123-yard performance.

Injuries have limited Jones to just three games this season, so it was great to see him back at practice on Thursday. He's yet to appear in consecutive games this season due to a variety of injuries, but he seems on track to suit up after getting some extra rest following last Thursday's loss to the Baltimore Ravens.

Meanwhile, Bucs fans hope to see Brate back in a game for the first time since Week 6. The 31-year-old TE hurt his neck in a loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers, leaving quarterback Tom Brady without one of his go-to targets. While rookie TE Cade Otton has been decent at times, Brate's return will be a boost to Tampa Bay's offense.

Even though the Rams have underperformed this year, the defending Super Bowl champs can't be underestimated. Hopefully, the Buccaneers can face them with a healthy pass-catching group to make the upcoming showdown worth watching.

Rams vs Buccaneers Odds

Even with all the injuries that they've dealt with, things look promising for the Bucs this week. FanDuel Sportsbook's NFL odds currently list Tampa Bay as a 3-point home favorite against Los Angeles.
