Despite off-field issues, the Cleveland Browns have their sites set on finally winning a Super Bowl in the 2022 NFL season. Unfortunately, their journey became a bit tougher after a key playmaker suffered an injury at training camp on Tuesday.
Browns insider Tom Withers reports that wide receiver Jakeem Grant was "seriously injured" on a passing play. While there haven't been any official updates just yet, multiple reports indicate that it appears as if the veteran was dealing with a lower-body injury.

Fellow Browns reporter Camryn Justice tweeted a video of Grant being helped onto the medical cart. The 29-year-old is clearly favoring his left leg in the video, unable to put any significant amount of weight on it.
The Browns brought Grant in this offseason to help with their special teams while also providing WR depth. Playing 15 games between the Chicago bears and Miami Dolphins in 2021, he averaged 23.4 yards on 23 kick returns while also recording 309 yards and a touchdown on 26 punt returns en route to Pro-Bowl and second-team All-Pro honors.
The hope is that Grant won't miss too much time, but things don't look promising after the above video. Barring any miracles, it wouldn't be shocking if he was forced to miss the Browns' preseason and potentially the start of the regular season depending on the severity of his injury.
The Browns are available at +2400 (No. 13) to win Super Bowl LVII, according to FanDuel Sportsbook. It remains to be seen how Grant's absence could potentially affect those odds.
