The Denver Broncos were given a scare regarding one of their top defenders during Thursday's 17-14 loss to the Cleveland Browns. Outside linebacker Von Miller exited the game in the second quarter with an ankle injury and did not return.

Fortunately, it doesn't appear as if the injury is that serious. Miller was reportedly "walking well" after the game, according to reporters. He added that he plans to play against the Washington Football Team next week.

Miller also told reporters that he was disappointed by the outcome of the game. He had planned on having a big game due to Cleveland dealing with injuries to its offensive line. Obviously, things didn't go as he hoped.

"I talked a lot of s--t before this game and I wanted to make it personal. I wanted the animosity. I wanted this to be that game, and I wanted to win it. "

After missing the entire 2020 NFL season with an ankle injury, it's understandable why fans would be concerned. The good news is he's bounced back this year, recording 19 total tackles, 9 quarterback hits and 4.5 sacks through seven games.

Miller is currently tied for the 13th-best odds (+6000) to be named 2021 NFL Defensive Player of the Year, according to FanDuel Sportsbook. A speedy recovery would go a long way in maintaining those odds.
