The Milwaukee Brewers have had an injury-riddled season, with stars like Christian Yelich and Kolten Wong missing chunks of time. Unfortunately, it does't look like that trend is stopping anytime soon.

Wong left Thursday's game due to an oblique issue. This is the same injury that landed the second baseman on the Injured List earlier this year, so this is a worrying development for Brewers fans.

Kolten Wong Injury Update

There's not much concrete information available as to the severity of Wong's injury just yet, but the organization should release an update soon. It's possible that Wong was just shaken up, but another stint on the IL can't be ruled out, either.

Losing Wong for any period of time would be disastrous for a Brewers club that's competing in the tight-knit NL Central. Milwaukee is 30-26, sitting 2.0 games behind the 32-24 Chicago Cubs and 1.5 games back of the 31-26 St. Louis Cardinals.

Wong has been tremendous this season, slashing .280/.343/.441 with 4 home runs 15 RBI and 5 stolen bases.

Hopefully the 30-year-old can get back on the diamond soon.
