Braves Get Bad News on Adam Duvall Injury Update

The Atlanta Braves kicked off their second half with a pair of victories over the Los Angeles Angels to start the weekend. This helped the team pull just 0.5 games back of the New York Mets in the NL East standings as Atlanta looks for the sweep on Sunday.

Unfortunately, the Braves' weekend hasn't been without a bit of unfortunate news. Atlanta received a tough update on outfielder Adam Duvall's latest injury.

Adam Duvall Injury Update

Duvall appeared to jam his wrist against the wall while going for a foul ball in left field during Saturday's win. He was pulled before the start of the third inning, and now the Braves placed their platoon player on the 10-day injured list.

The Braves referred to Duvall's injury as a sprained left wrist and infielder Mike Ford has been recalled in a corresponding move.

A former All-Star, Duvall hasn't exactly found his footing in 2022. He began the year playing an everyday role in center field before the emergence of Michael Harris relegated him to more of a platoon option.

Duvall is known for his power, something that still comes across his stat line thanks to 12 home runs and 36 RBIs. He's struggled to put consistent at-bats together, however, hitting just .213 and getting on-base less than 30% of the time.

Eddie Rosario will likely take on a full-time role in LF until Duvall's return. Rosario is struggling even more than Duvall at this dish this season, slashing an abysmal .135/.177/.225.
