Bobby Wagner Makes First Comments on Seahawks Return

As soon as linebacker Bobby Wagner left the Seattle Seahawks, it was clear a reunion could happen one day. Well, that time has already arrived, as Wagner is re-signing with the Seahawks after a one-year stop in Los Angeles.

It's safe to say Wagner is excited about returning to his previous home.

The LB texted "Happy to be back" to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport after news broke of his deal with the Seahawks. Now the 32-year-old can continue what he started with the team that drafted him all the way back in 2012.

Adding Wagner to this defense once again isn't just big because of his history with the franchise. The veteran was also one of the league's best linebackers in 2022, earning All-Pro Second Team honors with the Rams. The eight-time Pro Bowler even set a career high with 6.0 sacks this past season, showing he has plenty left in the tank.

Seattle's young defense was a liability at times this past season, but Wagner's return will immediately provide an experienced leadership presence to keep this unit in check. This reunion could end up making a massive difference for a team already coming off of a playoff appearance this past year.
