Bills Potential Week 1 Opponent in 2021 Revealed

There's excitement going around the football world because the full 2021 NFL season schedule is set to be released on May 12. While each of the 32 teams knows who they'll be playing, they still don't know when each game will occur.
However, scheduling information can often leak early, and it sounds as if that may be the case for the Buffalo Bills. According to Marc Bertrand and Scott Zolak, two Boston-based radio hosts, Buffalo will open their season against the New England Patriots in Week 1.
Picked up #Patriots schedule pieces from @scottzolak: No London trip, Buccaneers game will likely be early Oct., Buffalo Week 1, and no Thanksgiving game.

It's important to note that this is still just a rumor and is not yet confirmed. But as this information does tend to leak on occasion, a Bills-Patriots Week 1 showdown looks like a very strong possibility.
The Bills were a perfect 2-0 against the Patriots in 2020, outscoring their rivals 62-30. To no one's surprise, Josh Allen and Stefon Diggs played a major part in Buffalo's dominance over New England last season. Allen recorded 474 passing yards and 4 touchdowns to 1 interception, while Diggs had 15 receptions for 237 receiving yards and 3 scores.
New England has made a lot of improvements since then, though, so things could be a lot more competitive in 2021. Still, Buffalo (-155) is considered a heavy favorite to win the AFC East, while New England has the third-best odds in the division (+360), according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
