3 Best Prop Bets for Lakers vs Hornets NBA Game on FanDuel Sportsbook

Friday's NBA schedule has 11 games, including an exciting clash between the Los Angeles Lakers and Charlotte Hornets. The Hornets are a 8-point home favorite and the over/under is set at 227 points.
Here's three of the best prop bets for the Lakers-Hornets game, courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook.
Lakers vs Hornets Prop Bets Tonight
1. Cody Martin - Points: Under 9.5 (-110)
Despite this number being in single digits, it still sticks out given Cody Martin's recent lack of scoring. The third-year pro is averaging 8.1 points per game on the season and has scored in double-digits just two times over his last 10 contests. Yes, the Lakers give up a ton of buckets. However, they allow the 12th-fewest points to opposing small forwards and that is likely where Martin will be playing with Gordon Hayward sidelined. Keep in mind Martin has posted eight or less attempted field goals in each of his last five games. He isn't seeing nearly enough volume to back the over on this prop.
2. LaMelo Ball - Rebounds: Over 7.5 (+104)
LaMelo Ball has quietly become a very reliable rebounder for head coach James Borrego's squad. The 20-year-old is averaging 7.3 boards on the year and has cashed the over on this prop three times over his last five games. He has the perfect opportunity to keep his success going on Friday night. The Lakers are allowing the seventh-most opponent rebounds per game (55.1) and that ranking jumps to the second-highest when zeroing in on opposing point guards (7.39). Both of these teams also play at a top-10 pace in the NBA, which means there will be plenty of missed shots for Ball to swoop in and grab the rebound on.
3. Terry Rozier - Assists: Over 4.5 (-130)
The Hornets are playing like a legitimate playoff threat and the unrelenting effort of Terry Rozier is a major reason why. The Louisville product is dishing the ball out at a career-high rate in January. In fact, Rozier is posting 6.9 assists per night over his last seven contests. That gives this prop bet a ton of value. After all, the Lakers give up 25.8 assists per game this season, which ties for the second-highest mark in the NBA. Rozier is benefitting from having capable shooters around him like Ball and Miles Bridges. Look for the seventh-year pro to keep his recent momentum going on Friday night.
