Cincinnati Bengals running back Joe Mixon clearly wasn't 100% in Week 5. He managed just 33 yards on 10 carries after dealing with an ankle sprain heading into Sunday's game.
Mixon appears to be making progress in his recovery, though, as Week 6 approaches.
Joe Mixon Injury
The fifth-year pro returned to practice on Wednesday, which is something he hasn't been able to do since Week 4. That's an encouraging sign regarding the Bengals' RB getting back to his normal self.
Week 5 was the first time Mixon failed to record at least 60 rushing yards this season. He racked up 353 yards and 2 touchdowns over the first four games.
Injuries have been a struggle for the rusher since the start of the 2020 campaign, but the spark he provides when healthy is undeniable.
Hopefully Mixon can bounce back in a huge way against the Detroit Lions in Week 6. Cincinnati is a 3.5-point favorite in that game, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
