David Njoku's make-or-break 2020 season looked to be off to a strong start. He caught 3 receptions for 50 receiving yards and the Cleveland Browns lone score of the day in Week 1. However, he suffered a knee injury, and the team elected to place him on IR.

That move should raise Austin Hooper's fantasy outlook while Njoku is sidelined.

Hooper's Browns debut did not go great. He only saw 2 targets, catching both for a total of just 15 yards. With Njoku out of the mix, though, Hooper will likely serve as the team's No. 3 option in the passing game.

It remains to be seen whether or not that role is valuable, however. The early returns would certainly suggest no, as the Browns were held to 6 points while Baker Mayfield completed 21-of-39 passes for 189 yards 1 score and 1 pick.

Hooper should serve as a low-end TE1 while Njoku is sidelined, but he won't offer much upside unless Cleveland's offense turns it around quickly. He doesn't crack the top 12 in our Week 2 fantasy football PPR rankings.
