There's a renewed sense of optimism around the Detroit Tigers after a busy offseason from general manager Al Avila. Detroit added talent all over the diamond, most notably shortstop Javier Baez, starting pitcher Eduardo Rodriguez and catcher Tucker Barnhart.

Now, less than two weeks away from regular season baseball, the excitement is building for Detroit's new-look roster and how exactly the Opening Day lineup will pan out.

Manager AJ Hinch just may be testing out the official Opening Day lineup during Saturday's Spring Training action.

Hinch was asked if Saturday's lineup would be the same for Opening Day, and the skipper responded simply, "It could."

Tigers Lineup

This potential 2022 lineup combines a fierce battery of young talent with experienced veterans such as Baez and Miguel Cabrera.

One of the most exciting aspects of this lineup is the presence of both Riley Greene and Spencer Torkelson. The pair top Detroit's list of prospects and placed in the top five of MLB's overall rankings. Both are jetting to make their MLB debuts at some point during the 2022 season, but there's belief they could join the squad for all 162 games.
