There's been a common theme throughout the NFL's offseason: top wide receivers hauled in massive paydays. As a result, reports suggest the next group of top wide receivers approaching the end of their rookie deals will not attend voluntary offseason workouts.

This group includes the stars of the 2019 draft class: Deebo Samuel, Terry McLaurin and A.J. Brown.

Brown took to Twitter to deliver an angry message aimed at some of the hate he's been getting ever since his latest contract negotiation rumors became public.

A.J. Brown Contract Rumors

It's unclear exactly who Brown is speaking to, whether it's the media or Tennessee Titans fans, but he's clearly unhappy with the overall reaction to these rumors. Brown suggests that these rumors have already resulted in him being pegged a "diva" and "bad teammate."

Considering what the market paid top wide receivers Tyreek Hill ($30 million per year), Davante Adams ($28 million) and Stefon Diggs ($24 million) this offseason, it's easy to understand Brown's desire for a bigger payday. The fourth-year wideout will take home just under $4 million in the final year of his rookie deal.

Contract holdouts are nothing new for NFL fanbases, especially when it comes to voluntary workout programs. He's hauled in a pair of 1,000+ receiving yard seasons and 24 total touchdowns in just three short years.

Reports suggest the Titans are interested in keeping their WR1 around for the long-term, and both sides will likely keep working at a new contract this offseason.
