One of the biggest storylines ahead of the Green Bay Packers' Divisional Round clash with the Los Angeles Rams was the matchup between star wideout Davante Adams and elite cornerback Jalen Ramsey. The Packers got the win on Saturday to advance to the NFC Championship, and Ramsey was noticeably frustrated throughout the game.
Rodgers and Adams clearly exposed Ramsey in the Divisional Round.
That's right: Ramsey allowed a near-perfect passer rating when in coverage on Saturday. He gave up 6 receptions on the 6 passes for which he was the nearest defender, with Green Bay's receivers totaling 55 yards and 1 touchdown with Ramsey in coverage.
Adams and Ramsey found themselves lined up against each other a few times over the course of the game. One instance occurred early in the second quarter, when Adams flat-out beat Ramsey pre-snap and got himself open for an easy score.
Adams also gave Ramsey a little juke during the contest that left the CB in the dust.
It's always an entertaining matchup when two stars are pitted against each other. However, it's clear that the Rams corner had no answer for Adams or Rodgers, as the Packers' QB diced Ramsey up even when he wasn't targeting Adams.
With Rodgers playing at such a high level this season, it's no surprise that he got redemption for a previously poor outing against Ramsey.
