Under Greg Popovich, it's been a pretty rare occurrence for the San Antonio Spurs to head into a game as double-digit underdogs. However, on the off chance that they are, the Spurs have been a surprisingly solid bet against the spread.

The Spurs have been playing well as of late, but they find themselves as 14.5-point underdogs for tonight's game against the Western Conference-leading Golden State Warriors, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.

To see the Warriors heavily favored over a playoff-caliber Spurs squad may seem a little extreme, but you could argue that it's completely warranted based on their recent record at Oracle Arena.

Under Popovich, San Antonio has gone a terrible 1-35 straight up in games when they're double-digit underdogs. However, they've been a surprisingly solid spread bet, owning a 19-16-1 ATS record in those contests.

Adding to that, the Spurs are 2-3 ATS in the five times their opponent has been favored by 14 or more points.

The Spurs have also been on an offensive tear over their last six games, scoring at least 108 points in each of those contests. A win may not be in the cards against the Warriors on the road, but all signs point to San Antonio having a great shot at covering the spread.
