Joel Embiid has officially arrived, and the talented center has seemingly put the injury questions that plagued the early part of his career to rest.
Embiid has played 30 of a possible 31 games this season, averaging a career high 34.2 minutes per game. In fact, the only center whose averaging more minutes per game than Embiid is the resurgent Mark Gasol. While some 76ers fans have understandably expressed concern over the big man’s workload, it’s easy to see why Brett Brown is relying on him so much.
In other news, Joel Embiid remains, uh, pretty good.

Sixers have played so far like a 59 win team with Embiid on the court…and a 17 win team with him off.

With Embiid on the court the 76ers are playing like a 59 win team, but when he sits, that number drops to a staggeringly low 17 wins.

The 76ers will need Joel Embiid to continue playing like a modern Shaquille O'Neal in order to make the NBA Finals this season; thankfully for 76ers fans, their star center shows no signs of slowing down. Just keep him away from the shirley temples.
