Phoenix Suns guard Devin Booker left last night’s game against the Los Angeles Lakers with a hamstring injury and did not return. No word has been made official yet, but it appears like he could miss the next two-to-four weeks.

Look for second-year standout Josh Jackson to take the reigns of scoring over. Last season when Booker was out, Jackson had a 27-percent usage rate and had some of the biggest games of his rookie campaign. In fact, five of Jackson’s six-best performances (in FanDuel fantasy points) last season came when Booker was out of the lineup.

Even better for Jackson, the Suns now have No. 1 pick DeAndre Ayton in the lineup. Sure, he could swipe away more than a few rebounds off the stat sheet, but his presence should give Jackson enough spacing to do wonders out on the perimeter.

True basketball fans know the talent that Jackson possesses, and now it’s time for the fly-by fan to learn the name as well.
