There are dark horses in sports betting, and there's betting on Nick Bosa to win the Heisman trophy after Week 9 of the college football season.

After a disastrous upset by 29 points on the road against Purdue, it turns out former Ohio State star defensive end Nick Bosa – keyword being former here –  is worth much more to the Buckeyes' College Football Playoff dreams than most of the country expected.

But is Bosa worth enough to place a Heisman bet on after he officially withdrew from Ohio State to treat an abdomen injury and prepare for the NFL Draft early last week?

Apparently so, considering you can still wager on Bosa to win the college football's most prestigious award for individual achievement at +42000 odds. It's not like Bosa played a full slate of unbelievable games before leaving OSU either, having been sidelined by that a surgery to repair his nagging injury ever since Week 3

Bosa will likely wind up a Top-5 NFL Draft pick next spring, but three games with four sacks and 14 tackles just doesn't quite seem like a résumé that warrants a viable Heisman option for a player that's already withdrawn from the rest of the season.
