Game 1: Atlanta Braves (-114) @ New York Mets (+100), 7 p.m. EST

The Mets blanked the Braves behind the arm of their star pitcher Jacob deGrom last night in a 3-0 win to tie the series at 1-1, but don't expect that momentum to carry over into Thursday night at Citi Field.

Especially not with Jason Vargas (6-9, 6.25 ERA) as a follow-up act to a very possible 2018 NL Cy Young award winner in deGrom.

Game 2: North Carolina Tar Heels @ No. 16 Miami Hurricanes (-17.5), 8 p.m. EST

Before the 2018-19 season even started, UNC's been off to a rocky start with a double-digit number of player suspensions from an off-the-field NCAA violation involving shoe sales. It's not like the Tar Heels were expected to be great, but so far they've gone 1-1-1 against the spread, with their lone ATS win coming at home last week.

On the other hand, Miami has gone 2-2 ATS overall, but both of their two ATS wins came as big covers at home this season. Not to mention, the Hurricanes have beaten UNC twice at home since moving to Miami Gardens, and both of those wins have come by more than 23 or more points.
