Zion Williamson Stats

Zion Williamson came into the 2018-19 college basketball season as perhaps the most-discussed NBA prospect since LeBron James. The Duke Blue Devils' forward averaged 22.6 points per game (PPG), 8.9 rebounds per game (RPG), 2.1 assists per game (APG) and 2.1 steals per game (SPG) during his freshman season. Williamson projects as a hyper-talented wing whose unique size and athleticism should translate to plenty of production at the next level.

While Williamson's stats are impressive, he needs to improve his 3-point shooting to reach his full potential in the NBA. He shot just 33.8 percent from beyond the arc at Duke. Additionally, he could stand to increase his free-throw percentage. Williamson only converted 64.0 percent of his free-throw attempts at Duke, and his size and driving ability could get him to the free-throw line frequently as a pro.

Still, Williamson's surprising quickness and overpowering athleticism could make him a can't-miss NBA prospect.

Zion Williamson NBA Draft Predictions

- New Orleans Pelicans (No. 1)

It's still anyone's guess as to what the Pelicans plan on doing with Anthony Davis, but even if they decide to move on, it's hard to imagine them passing up on Williamson here. He's truly one of the most dynamic prospects to ever enter the NBA Draft.

Williamson is a particularly unique asset for the Pelicans. They can now choose whether to keep Davis and try to win now with him and Williamson, or trade Davis for a myriad of young players and picks. While there will likely be plenty of teams calling New Orleans to try and make a deal, Williamson is simply too talented to pass up.
