One week into the 2022 MLB season, and the Los Angeles Dodgers and Toronto Blue Jays are the only two teams with single-digit odds to win the World Series. The Dodgers (4-2) are one of four teams in the tough NL West to start the season with above .500 records.
The Toronto Blue Jays (4-3) are tied with the New York Yankees and Tampa Bay Rays on top of the AL East in what should prove to be the toughest division in the American League. The Chicago White Sox (4-2) are expected to be World Series contenders, and the south siders are tied on top of the AL Central with the Cleveland Guardians, who play their home opener Friday, April 15 against the San Francisco Giants.
The New York Mets (5-2) have the best record in baseball to start the season, and the Metropolitans begin their opening home stand Friday against the Arizona Diamondbacks.
FanDuel Sportsbook provides World Series odds updates for all the teams throughout the season. Things can certainly change before the season ends, but fans will notice familiar teams at the top of the list through the early part of the season.
