Will Fuller Injury Update Makes Kenny Stills Fantasy Outlook Strong in Week 8 Matchup With Raiders

Will Fuller for forced to leave the Houston Texans' Week 7 loss to the Indianapolis Colts with a hamstring injury, and they won't have their top deep threat active for a Week 8 matchup with the Oakland Raiders this weekend.
This should be a boon for Kenny Stills' fantasy value, as he stepped into Fuller's role admirably last week.
#Texans WR Will Fuller, who exited yesterday’s game early, has a rather significant hamstring pull, source said. Based on recent tests results, he’s expected to miss several weeks.

Fuller tends to be a boom-or-bust fantasy option, but with his big-play ability, those "boom" weeks can be huge. We saw that when he racked up 300 yards and three touchdowns in Week 5. His reception numbers tend to be inconsistent, but with an average depth of target of 14.3 yards on the year (13th among wideouts with 30-plus targets), he doesn't need a ton of catches to have a big game.
Stills sees similar usage, with a 13.2-yard average depth of target, and we saw that he has a similar potential for fantasy production on those limited looks. He caught four passes after Fuller went down last week, turning those into 105 receiving yards.
And the active Texans' wideout gets to face a Raiders' secondary that has struggled mightily in 2019, ranking 30th in Football Outsiders' pass defense DVOA rankings. They're allowing the NFL's second most fantasy points per game to opposing wideouts, so Stills' upside is especially high this week.

Stills is a low-floor fantasy option because of the volatile nature of deep targets, but you're not often going to find a great floor with a WR3/FLEX play anyway, and his upside in this matchup is more than high enough to make up for the risk. That has him at WR35 in our Week 8 PPR fantasy football rankings and WR34 in our standard scoring rankings.
