March Madness Results and Scores Yesterday (March 24, 2023)

The first half of Friday night saw a couple of big upsets. First, the tournament's overall No. 1 seed, the Alabama Crimson Tide fell to the San Diego State Aztecs. After trailing at halftime, Alabama came roaring back before ultimately relinquishing the lead for good.

Game 2 on Friday night involved the only other remaining No. 1 seed. And unfortunately for the Houston Cougars, they suffered the same fate as Alabama, losing to the Miami Hurricanes in convincing fashion. Miami had its doubters coming into this tournament, but they have quickly proven them all wrong.

This cemented the first time in tournament history since seeding began that zero No. 1 seeds made the Elite Eight.

The back half of Friday's action saw much more chalk. While both the games between Creighton and Princeton, and Xavier and Texas were exciting, ultimately, both of the favorites (Creighton and Texas) won out, each notching a double-digit victory.
