After months of speculation and rumors, the NBA Draft is finally here. The next batch of potential superstars are preparing to find out where they'll be playing this season, and fans are anxious to see which of these prospects lands on their team.

Here's everything you need to know about Thursday's draft.

What Time is the NBA Draft Tonight?

The NBA Draft is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. ET. That's when the Orlando Magic are slated to be on the clock with the No. 1 overall pick. Draft odds on FanDuel Sportsbook are strongly favoring Auburn forward Jabari Smith to be Orlando's selection.

The draft will be held in person at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, for the ninth straight time (2020 was virtual).

What Channel is the NBA Draft on?

The 2022 NBA Draft kicks off at 8 p.m. ET on Thursday. The event will air in its entirety on ESPN, and the first round will also be shown on ABC.

In addition to cable, viewers can stream the draft through WatchESPN.

How Does the NBA Draft Work?

The NBA Draft traditionally consists of two rounds, with 30 picks in each (60 total) -- though this year will feature less selections than normal. Once a team is on the clock, they have a few minutes to decide on their choice of the top prospects remaining.

There's also the possibility of trading a selection in exchange for future draft picks or players that are already in the NBA, eliminating the unknown of a prospect straight out of college.
