Fantasy Football Playoffs Advice
If you need some help with your fantasy lineups, here's some start 'em, sit 'em advice for this divisional showdown.
Austin Ekeler Fantasy
Start Austin Ekeler, RB, Los Angeles Chargers: Austin Ekeler missed last week, but you should put him right back into your lineups in Week 17. He was activated off the COVID list and removed from the injury report, suggesting that he should be pretty much at full strength. Even if he's in a timeshare against a stout Broncos' defense, Ekeler should be just fine. The last time he faced Denver, Ekeler turned 20 opportunities into 99 yards from scrimmage and a touchdown. Start Ekeler with confidence this week.
Javonte Williams Fantasy
Start Javonte Williams, RB, Denver Broncos: Los Angeles' run defense hasn't been able to stop a nose bleed this season. The Chargers have the league's worst run defense by DVOA and have surrendered top-five PPR production to opposing RBs. That should be a problem against Javonte Williams, even while he's stuck in a timeshare with Melvin Gordon. Williams has proven to be one of the most explosive RBs in football, forcing a league-best 58 missed tackles this season. He has a chance to run wild against the Chargers' leaky run defense, as we saw when he recorded 111 yards from scrimmage and a TD against this defense in Week 12.
Mike Williams Fantasy
Sit Mike Williams, WR, Los Angeles Chargers: It looks like Mike Williams will be making his return after missing Week 16 due to COVID. He might be a bit too risky to start this week, though. Williams has been held under 62 receiving yards in three of his last four games. He has also only found the end zone once since Week 6. Williams is just too much of a boom-or-bust option, and he's been falling more on the "bust" side of things a lot recently.
Jerry Jeudy Fantasy
Sit Jerry Jeudy, WR, Denver Broncos: Jerry Jeudy hasn't broken out the way many hoped he would this season. He has seen six targets or fewer in each of his last five appearances, averaging just 41.8 receiving yards per game in that time. Jeudy just isn't producing right now, and Denver is likely to lean on the run game to exploit this Chargers' defense. If you have other options, Jeudy is best left on the bench.
