The Philadelphia Eagles will look to get back to a .500 record when they go on the road to take on the New York Giants in Week 12 NFL action. FanDuel Sportsbook has the Eagles slated as 3.5-point favorites in a game that is sure to have fantasy implications.
If you need some help with your fantasy lineups, here's some start 'em, sit 'em advice for this Week 12 NFC East clash.
Miles Sanders Fantasy
Start Miles Sanders, RB, Philadelphia Eagles: Running back Miles Sanders returned from an ankle injury in Week 11 and finished the game with 94 rushing yards on 16 carries (5.9 average). He handled most of the load in the backfield and draws a favorable matchup on Sunday. The Giants have posted Football Outsiders' third-worst rush defense DVOA rating in the NFL and are allowing the fifth-most PPR fantasy points to opposing RBs. This is a defense that has also given up 531 receiving yards to the position, which bodes well for Sanders in the passing game. With veteran Jordan Howard unlikely to play, expect the third-year pro to put together a solid performance seeing 15-plus touches.
Evan Engram Fantasy
Start Evan Engram, TE, New York Giants: Fantasy managers have been reaping in the benefits of starting tight ends against Philadelphia all season long. The Eagles are giving up the most PPR fantasy points to opposing TEs, which includes a league-leading 9 touchdowns. Engram has become a reliable option for quarterback Daniel Jones and has hauled in 8 of his last 12 targets for 65 yards and 2 touchdowns (3 games). The 27-year-old also played in a season-high 90% of the offensive snaps last week and should have no trouble getting open multiple times in this divisional matchup.
Dallas Goedert Fantasy
Sit Dallas Goedert, TE, Philadelphia Eagles: This sit recommendation simply comes down to the Eagles' game plans as of late. Philadelphia ranks No. 1 in rushing play percentage this season (49.6%) and is averaging 30.7 rushing attempts per game (No. 3 in NFL). Goedert has seen 16 targets over his last three games, yet he hasn't scored a touchdown since Week 4. While the Giants rank in the middle of the pack against opposing TEs, Goedert simply doesn't have much upside given his lack of red zone work. He is a borderline TE1 in Week 12, but fantasy managers may want to look at higher-upside options if possible.
Kadarius Toney Fantasy
Sit Kadarius Toney, WR, New York Giants: Rookie wideout Kadarius Toney saw a whopping 12 targets in Week 11 and seemed to be Jones' go-to option. However, he finished the game with just 40 receiving yards and is averaging a subpar 11.2 yards per reception on the season. He runs into an improving Eagles' defense in Week 12 that is giving up the second-fewest PPR fantasy points to opposing WRs. Keep in mind that the Giants may get Sterling Shepard back this week as well. He has seen 43 targets over his five games played this season and would certainly cut into Toney's workload. It would be best to keep the former Florida Gator on the bench this week.
