Whenever an NFL player joins a new team, it's pretty easy for the city or state to welcome them. However, it can sometimes take the player a bit longer to grow accustomed to their new home. Fortunately, the Minnesota Vikings don't have to worry about that issue when it comes to one of their newest prospects.

Patrick Jones II, the Vikings' 90th overall selection at the 2021 NFL Draft, appears to already be taking a liking to his new state. The former Pittsburgh Panthers defensive end took to Twitter on Friday night to voice his praise for the beautiful sights around him.

Considering how Minnesota is known for it's natural surroundings and is literally called the "Land of 10,000 Lakes," it's no wonder the rookie loves his new home. On the other hand, it won't be tough for Vikings fans to fall in love with him.

A two-time All-SEC player, Jones was a physical force in his four seasons with the Panthers. He registered 112 total tackles (32.0 for a loss), 21.5 sacks, 5 forced fumbles and 4 passes defended. Pro Football Focus even gave Jones a 76.8 overall grade in 2020, which shows that he was among the better defensive ends in the country.

The Vikings currently have the 18th-best odds to win the Super Bowl at +4000, according to FanDuel Sportsbook. Even if the team is a long shot to win it all, fans can take solace in the fact that one of their newest rookies already loves their state. Perhaps that love will motivate Jones to bring the Super Bowl to Minnesota one day.
