The Minnesota Vikings are looking to bounce back after a disappointing 2020 season in which they finished with a 7-9 record. The defense gave up 29.7 points per game (No. 29 in the NFL), but will get a major boost given Pro Bowl starting linebacker Eric Kendricks is back to being a full participant at practice.

Eric Kendricks Injury

Kendricks looked amazing across the first 11 games of last season before going down with a calf injury. He racked up 107 tackles (4 tackles for loss), 6 passes defended and 3 interceptions while being a leader on defense.

“Just not being there and being on the sideline was obviously disappointing. But we’ve been rehabbing, been recovering and feeling good, so I’m looking forward to this upcoming season.”

The 29-year-old playmaker had only been doing rehab work this spring before Wednesday. However, Kendricks looks to be getting back to full strength. In fact, the seven-year NFL veteran has shined so far racking up interceptions and shutdown tackles on seemingly every snap at practice.

The Vikings' defense would look a whole lot better if Kendricks can stay healthy and return to his 2019 form when he was named to the All-Pro first team. Minnesota currently has odds set at +128 to make the playoff and odds set at +4000 to win the Super Bowl, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
