Before Robert Griffin III's major injury, he had quite the bright future laid out for him. Similar to Lamar Jackson in where he stands heading into 2020, or Josh Allen even, RGIII was dynamic as a rusher. He could make tacklers miss with ease, well, besides Mark Barron.
First Barron drills RGIII as he dives for the endzone. Then he bodyslams the prolific quarterback to the ground. During the former, Griffin even fumbles the ball over to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
This was not RGIII's game. The Washington Redskin (at the time) ended up leading his team to a 9-6 record in 2012. Unfortunately, it went downhill from there, and faster than a Mark Barron power-bomb. RGIII was a combined 5-15 his next two seasons in Washington, now he's a backup.
As for Barron, the hard-hitter was a safety with the Bucs, and also a rookie in 2012. His 88 tackles and four hits for a loss that season were decent for a rookie season. The defender's journeyman career outshines RGIII in consistency and value, if not anonymity. Although this bodyslam did live on.
