VIDEO: Remembering When Josh Allen & Bills Crushed the Vikings as 17-Point Underdogs

This contest was a killer to the oddsmakers, as the Buffalo Bills came into this game in Minnesota as 17-point underdogs. That didn't stop rookie quarterback Josh Allen though, as he led his team to a gutsy blowout against a good Minnesota Vikings team.
This was a defeat that gave many fans an early exit from their survival pools in week three of the season. Not much was expected of the rebuilding Bills that year, and the Vikes were playoff favorites and Super Bowl hopefuls.
People also didn't realize how talented Josh Allen was, and this game really began his prestige around the NFL, which just two years later has grown even further. Allen totaled for three touchdowns that day, one passing and two with his legs. His 111.2 passer rating against a stout Minnesota defense on the road was eye-opening.
Allen wasn't the only surprise of course. The Buffalo defense, which has become one of the most-feared units in the league in 2020, totally shut down Kirk Cousins and the Vikings. With four sacks and three turnovers forced, this game was over quick.
This result was just another reminder that in the NFL, any team can win on any given Sunday.
