Missing football while the offseason rolls on? Kansas City Chiefs fans can fill the void by throwing it back to 2013 with Patrick Mahomes' amazing high school football highlights.

Mahomes played for Whitehouse High School in Texas, and even from a young age his unique style of play was on full display.

Patrick Mahomes High School Highlights

Mahomes was an outstanding multi-sport athlete in high school. In addition to playing football and basketball, he was an outstanding pitcher. His senior year saw him throw a 16-strikeout no-hitter, and he was famously selected in the 2014 MLB Draft. Football was his passion, though, and his 4,619 passing yards, 948 rushing yards, 50 passing touchdowns and 15 rushing touchdowns in his senior year helped him earn a scholarship to Texas Tech. He was named the Maxpreps Male Athlete of the Year for 2013-14.

Mahomes wasn't a full-time starter until his second season at Texas Tech, but he put up some huge numbers. Throwing for at least 4,500 yards and 36 touchdowns in each of those two years, he finished with a career 11,252 yards and 93 scores through the air plus 845 yards and 22 touchdowns on the ground.

The 10th overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft, he sat his rookie year behind Alex Smith before exploding onto the scene as one of the best quarterbacks in the league.

In just three seasons as a starter he's already put together an incredible array of accolades, including NFL Offensive Player of the Year, Super Bowl MVP and NFL MVP.
