Most MLB players don't spend much energy worrying about who hands them their bat at the plate. But Los Angeles Angels' outfielder Kole Calhoun showed us all that he clearly isn't like most MLB players this Saturday.

After walking back to the plate in one of his at-bats against the Kansas City Royals, the 31-year-old veteran outfielder had some words for Royals' catcher Martin Maldonado after he picked up Calhoun's bat. It appeared Maldonado was just being respectful, but it doesn't look like Calhoun took it that way.

Calhoun appears to mouth "Don't you ever touch my bat," at Maldonado as the Royals' catcher stood at home plate holding the bat Calhoun dropped. And if reading Calhoun's lips can't confirm the nature of that exchange, Maldonado's reaction certainly does.

However, we should note that Calhoun's smile at the end of the video could show that his comments were likely meant as a joke.

Even though Saturday's interaction with Calhoun was far from Maldonado's first taste of jawing at the plate, it's hard to blame him for immediately tossing the lumber back into the dirt after hearing what Calhoun had to say.
