As the 2023 MLB season draws near, so does the long-awaited return of San Diego Padres phenom Fernando Tatis Jr. Tatis Jr. had a bumpy ride in 2022. Thanks to a multitude of injury issues and one lengthy PED suspension, the young shortstop missed the entirety of the 2022 regular season.

Eligible to return from the restricted list on April 20, Tatis Jr. is fully healthy. In fact, a video surfaced on Thursday of the two-time Silver Slugger taking live BP. Check it out below.

MLB insider Hector Gomez posted the video on Thursday evening.

Tatis looks comfortable in this BP session and the swing looks sweet. It's honestly all Padres fans could ask for at this point.

On the heels of multiple surgeries to repair a partially torn labrum in his shoulder and two procedures on his wrist, it looks like Tatis will be 100% as soon as his suspension is lifted. The rising superstar will have a massive impact on San Diego's lineup if he can return to his 2021 form. Tatis Jr. slashed .282/.364/.611 with 42 home runs and 97 RBIs that year.
