If we were to define boom-or-bust fantasy football value with one wide receiver, there's no better candidate than Seattle Seahawks wideout Tyler Lockett.

In his sixth NFL season in Seattle, Lockett finished as WR20 in PPR scoring. The only issue? Most of that production came thanks to three monster weeks.

Lockett has that special deep separation ability and enough chemistry to connect with Russell Wilson on some beautiful deep balls like the one below. Only, fantasy owners can't count on that each and every week.

Tyler Lockett Fantasy Football Value

The seven-year wideout appeared and started in all 16 games for Seattle last season. He's a workhorse, actually only missing one game throughout his career. However, this hasn't stopped his boom-or-bust value.

Last season, Lockett recorded 10+ PPR fantasy points in only five games. Of those five breakout performances, he actually eclipsed 20+ points in three of them, including a monster 38.0 performance in Week 7 against the Arizona Cardinals.

Lockett caught 15 balls and 3 touchdowns on 20 targets for a total of 200 scorching receiving yards in that contest. As has been the case over the past two season, Lockett tends to put up his numbers in bunches.

He checks in at WR21 in The Duel's preseason fantasy football rankings, which sits right in line with where he produced last year. Except fantasy owners can't be sure which version of Lockett they're getting each and every week.

He's a safe No. 2 wide receiver for most fantasy rosters, just don't expect his production to come on a consistent basis.
