Ty Johnson Injury Update Boosts Week 11 Fantasy Outlook After Clearing Concussion Protocol

Ty Johnson left the Lions' Week 10 matchup against the Chicago Bears with a concussion. But after clearing concussion protocol and returning to practice this week, he is officially active for Week 11 against the Dallas Cowboys.
Lions FB Nick Bawden (foot) has been added to the Lions’ Injury Report. He is listed as Questionable for Sunday’s game vs. Dallas.

Lions RB Ty Johnson has officially cleared concussion protocol and has been removed from the Game Status Report.
Ty Johnson had been filling in as the lead back for Detroit, after Kerryon Johnson was placed on IR. He proved to be a three-down back for the Lions, averaging 8.7 carries and 3.7 targets in the three previous games before last week.
The Lions may be a bit hesitant with Johnson in his return this week, with the team playing alright with J.D. McKissic at the helm last week. Still, the running game was virtually nonexistent against the Bears. Backup quarterback Jeff Driskel led the team in rushing, with 37 yards, in his first start for the injured Matthew Stafford.

The Lions are expected to be playing from behind in this one, as 7.5-point underdogs, according to FanDuel Sportsbook. This could lead to them playing McKissic a bit more, as he is a true receiving back for the team.
Johnson heads into the game ranked as RB27 in our Week 11 PPR rankings, while McKissic did not make the cut.
