Tristan Wirfs Shows Off Insane Athleticism in Offseason Workout Video

Offensive linemen are often to most underappreciated players in the NFL. They usually go unnoticed by a lot of fans because they're not flashy, nor do they typically make highlight-reel plays. Nevertheless, that doesn't mean that offensive linemen can't show off some incredible athletic displays every now and then, as proven by Tampa Bay Buccaneers tackle Tristan Wirfs on Monday.
A first-round pick in 2020, Wirfs posted a video of himself performing a 48-inch seated static box jump on his Twitter. Considering how the sophomore tackle weighs 320 pounds, the task was already impressive on its own. However, he also wore a weighted vest to bump up his bodyweight to 345 pounds. Needless to say, it was an insanse athletic performance.

Such athleticism is exactly why the Buccaneers used the 13th overall pick of the 2020 NFL Draft on Wirfs. As a rookie, he started in each of Tampa's 16 games last season and allowed just one sack while taking 3 penalties on 1,073 offensive snaps. ProFootballFocus gave Wirfs an overall grade of 81.8, cementing the fact that he has the potential to be one of the NFL's top offensive tackles for years to come.
With the Buccaneers bringing back most of their Super Bowl-winning roster over the offseason, a repeat championship performance could be in the cards. Tampa Bay currently has the second-best odds to win Super Bowl 56 at +650, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
