The kicker position is easily the most overlooked part of any fantasy football roster. Most fantasy players probably drafted a kicker with no plans to think much about the position until their starter's bye week rolled around.

That's leaving points on the board, though. It may not be fun to spend time every week thinking about the kicker position, but it can be incredibly valuable.

With that in mind, these three kickers, all available in at least 50 percent of Yahoo! fantasy football leagues, are great options to grab off the waiver wire to start in Week 5.

3. Ka'imi Fairbairn, Houston Texans (vs Jacksonville)

The 0-4 Houston Texans will be moving forward without Bill O'Brien, but they have a good chance at scoring their first win of the season in Week 5 against the Jacksonville Jaguars. FanDuel Sportsbook still has them as 6-point favorites in a game with a 54.5-point over/under, suggesting Houston should do plenty of scoring. Ka'imi Fairbairn has already posted double-digit fantasy points twice in four games this year, and he should be in for another strong outing this week.

2. Chris Boswell, Pittsburgh Steelers (vs Philadelphia)

Chris Boswell didn't play in Week 4 after the Pittsburgh Steelers' game was cancelled, but he has posted 8, 6 and 8 fantasy points in his first three outings of the year. Kickers have averaged 7.3 fantasy points per game against the Philadelphia Eagles this season, and they've allowed the NFL's 13th most points overall. Boswell checks in as the ninth-ranked kicker in our Week 5 fantasy football rankings.

1. Sam Sloman, Los Angeles Rams (at Washington)

Sam Sloman was a bit of a bust in a juicy matchup in Week 4, scoring 5 fantasy points, but that's still not a bad floor for a guy who now boasts scores of 5, 6, 7 and 8 in his four games. The Washington Football Team has allowed the NFL's 11th most points against, and the Rams have a strong 26.5-point implied total (7.5-point favorites, 45.5-point over/under) in this one. Expect Sloman to get plenty of scoring chances this week.
