Top Fantasy Football Streaming Kickers for Week 2

The kicker position is rarely more than an afterthought in fantasy football. Usually dismissed as an unfortunate necessity, many players simply draft their kicker and leave them plugged in as their starter until a bye week ultimately changes things.
That can leave a big edge for savvy fantasy owners though. The position tends to be inconsistent, and in Week 1 Cairo Santos and Zane Gonzalez tied for fifth in fantasy scoring despite each being owned in only one percent of Yahoo! fantasy football leagues.
Here are the three top fantasy football kicker streaming options for Week 2.
3. Chris Boswell, Pittsburgh Steelers vs Seattle Seahawks
Chris Boswell isn't likely to be a popular play after the Pittsburgh Steelers' dud in Week 1. Their Week 2 matchup isn't a cakewalk either, but the Seattle Seahawks did just allow 20 points to the Cincinnati Bengals. The Steelers should be in for at least a partial bounce back at home this week as four-point favorites on FanDuel Sportsbook, and that gives Boswell some nice upside. Boswell has made all five of his 50-yard field goal attempts over the last two seasons.
2. Matt Bryant, Atlanta Falcons vs Philadelphia Eagles
The 44-year-old Matt Bryant was released in February, but the Atlanta Falcons brought him back at the end of the summer. He didn't get a chance at much fantasy production with the Falcons stumbling to a 12-point performance in Week 1, but that was in a tough matchup against the Minnesota Vikings. The scoring in Atlanta should pick up this week in a game that projects to be a shootout, with the Falcons sitting as only one-point underdogs against the Philadelphia Eagles in a contest with a 51-point over/under.
1. Joey Slye, Carolina Panthers vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Owned in only two percent of Yahoo leagues, Joey Slye tallied two field goals and three extra points in his NFL debut in Week 1, finishing tied for seventh at the position with 11.0 fantasy points. The Panthers are 6.5-point favorites in Week 2 against a Buccaneers team that also allowed 11.0 fantasy points to Robbie Gould last week. The Bucs' defense looks to be just as shaky as last year, when they allowed the league's most passing yards, and the Panthers' offense should get Slye plenty more opportunities this week. He sits sixth among kickers in our Week 2 fantasy football rankings.
