Defensive scoring in fantasy football depends more on weekly matchups than maybe any other position. There are very few true, every-week starting options out there, and all but the absolute worst defenses can be worth using if they're in the right matchup.

Every week there are plenty of defenses worth starting that are available on the waiver wire, and it pays to be vigilant in keeping up with the best weekly plays at the position.

3. Green Bay Packers vs. Carolina Panthers

After a strong start to the season, Kyle Allen has thrown four interceptions to just two touchdowns in the last two weeks, getting sacked 10 times in the process. The Green Bay Packers' pass rush ranks in the middle of the pack at 16th in pressure rate (recording a hurry, sack or QB knockdown on 22.9 percent of opponents' dropbacks). Given the Carolina Panthers' recent struggles in that area, the Packers should get home a little more often than usual. Green bay also ranks ninth in takeaway rate (13.9 percent), and Allen's recent interception troubles aren't likely to clear up in this one.

2. Baltimore Ravens at Cincinnati Bengals

The Baltimore Ravens' defense saw its ownership drop to 49 percent in Yahoo! Fantasy Football leagues as they drew a tough Week 9 matchup against the New England Patriots. They held the NFL's highest-scoring offense to just 20 points in that one, though, and now they're rewarded with a dreamy matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals and rookie QB Ryan Finley, who is making his first career start. The Bengals' offensive line will not do Finley any favors, giving up a top-10 sack rate this season. Baltimore's D has 13.0 and 18.0 fantasy points in the last two games, and they're not likely to slow down in this spot.

1. Indianapolis Colts vs. Miami Dolphins

Attacking the Miami Dolphins continues to be an incredible way to find fantasy defenses. They've allowed 15.3 fantasy points per game to opposing defenses, which means if "Miami's Opponent" was a single team, they would rank second among all defenses in per-game fantasy production. The Indianapolis Colts' pass rush has played well this season, racking up at least three sacks in five games thus far, including three of the last four. Their fantasy production is up to 8.5 points per game in those four, and Miami is one of only three teams allowing a sack rate in the double-digits (10.1 percent) in 2019. The Colts' D is a great waiver wire add and ranks second at the position in our Week 10 fantasy football rankings.
