The start of the 2020-21 NBA season is fast approaching, which means prep for upcoming fantasy basketball drafts is in full swing.

Outside of just the top players, and potential sleepers, there are plenty of intriguing rookies in this year's draft class that you can turn to in order to fill out your roster.

Fantasy Basketball Rookies

With that in mind, here's the top 10 rookies ahead of the start of the fantasy basketball season.

Fantasy Basketball Rookie Rankings 2022

10. Franz Wagner

9. Davion Mitchell

8. James Bouknight

7. Alperen Sengun

6. Josh Giddey

5. Scottie Barnes

4. Evan Mobley

3. Jalen Suggs

Jalen Suggs should step into a featured role right away for the Orlando Magic. The 6-foot-4 guard made plays on both sides of the floor at Gonzaga, averaging 14.4 points, 5.3 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 1.9 steals per game. Suggs should give managers nightly contributions across the major categories as a key part of the Magic's rotation right away.

2. Jalen Green

Houston Rockets guard Jalen Green is a safe bet to have an immediate impact given his ability to score. Green averaged 17.9 points in the G League last season while shooting 46.1% from the field and 82.9% from the free throw line. The 6-foot-6 guard already has the makings of a solid rebounder (4.1 per game last season) as well. Green also still has room to grow as a playmaker after recording 2.8 per contest in the G League. The No. 2 pick's fantasy potential is tantalizing, especially on a Rockets team that will lean on him to make plays.

1. Cade Cunningham

Cade Cunningham's positive impact in all facets of the game made him the easy choice as the No. 1 pick in the NBA Draft. He averaged 20.1 points, 6.2 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game as a freshman at Oklahoma State. He also shot 40.0% from 3-point range and recorded 1.6 steals per contest. Cunningham boasts impressive size for a playmaker at 6-foot-8, which should help him his game translate seamlessly to the next level. The Detroit Pistons will rely on Cunningham to make an impact on a nightly basis, and his all-around skillset makes him a prime fantasy pick once the top tier of stars are off of the board.
