Titans Finally Get Injury Update on Promising Young Defender

When the Tennessee Titans selected Caleb Farley in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft, his talent was never a question, but his health was. Now less than two years into his career, those concerns seem validated. Farley has only played in a total of 12 games in his first two seasons, making just two starts.
Caleb Farley Injury Update
Farley last played in Week 10, although he appeared in all nine of the team's games prior to that. The young defensive back had been dealing with a back injury but finally underwent a Microdiscectomy on Thursday, which will officially end his season.
Titans’ 2021 first-round pick Caleb Farley had a Microdisectomy on his back today and will miss the rest of the season, per source. Farley was dealing with a herniated disk, but he is expected to be ready for the start of the offseason program.

This is another disappointing setback for Farley, who hasn't provided the impact that Tennessee initially hoped for when drafting him.
Farley certainly hasn't lived up to his first-round draft status yet, but hopefully he'll begin to realize his potential in 2023 after a full offseason to recover.
The Titans will have to carry on without him as they prepare for a Week 14 matchup with the Jacksonville Jaguars, where Tennessee is a 3.5-point home favorite according to FanDuel Sportsbook's latest NFL odds.
