Ever since the news came out that wide receiver Julio Jones wants to be traded away from the Atlanta Falcons, the Tennessee Titans have been a popular hypothetical destination.
Well, they remain the favorites to land the All-Pro wideout and potential trade details have now been revealed.
Titans Rumors: Julio Jones Trade Package
The current expectation across the league is that the Falcons could send Jones to the Titans in exchange for a second-round pick. While this is certainly not a guarantee, it is definitely seems like a legitimate possibility. The Titans lack any kind of WR depth behind No. 1 pass-catcher A.J. Brown.
Atlanta is still targeting a first-round pick, but that price may simply be too high for a NFL team to spend on a 32-year-old WR. However, the Falcons need to be careful because fans will be in an uproar if the team trades one of the best players in franchise history for less than he is worth.
It's notable to point out that there comes a lot of salary cap relief for the Falcons as well if they are able to trade Jones. The seven-time Pro Bowler has racked up 12,896 receiving yards and 60 touchdowns across 10 NFL seasons. He could take a contending NFL team to another level on offense.
The Julio Jones sweepstakes is sure to be a top storyline until the wide receiver is eventually dealt out of The Big Peach. The Titans seem to be a leading candidate amongst the trade destinations for now, but don't count out other teams including the Baltimore Ravens and Philadelphia Eagles.
