The Tennessee Titans announced Wednesday that backup quarterback Logan Woodside was placed on the COVID-19 list. With no other QBs aside from Ryan Tannehill on the roster, the team went out and added depth on Friday.

The Titans have announced that former second-round pick DeShone Kizer has been signed to their practice squad. The 25-year-old hasn't played a snap since he was a member of the Green Bay Packers in 2018.

This isn't Kizer's first stint with the Titans this season. He was previously with the organization from November 2020 until Tennessee released him during this year's training camp.

Kizer is most well-known for his time with the Cleveland Browns in 2018. He started 15 games for the Browns that year, finishing with an 0-15 record, 2,894 passing yards and 11 touchdowns to a league-leading 22 interceptions.

Assuming he's added to the 53-man roster for Week 12, Kizer likely won't see any action against the New England Patriots unless it's a blowout in favor of the Titans or something happens to Tannehill.

Regardless, it's comforting for the team to know that they have a backup who knows the organization until Woodside makes his return.
