Thursday Night Football Fantasy Picks: Start 'Em, Sit' Em for Chargers vs Raiders

Thursday Night Football games aren't always the most well-played NFL contests, since both teams are on short weeks, but that doesn't reduce their importance when it comes to fantasy football. With only a couple of days to think about start em, sit 'em options, they are often some of the toughest decisions of the week.
With that in mind, here's some start 'em, sit 'em advice for Thursday's Week 10 matchup between the Los Angeles Chargers and Oakland Raiders.
Who Should I Start Fantasy Football 2019
Start Derek Carr, QB, Oakland Raiders: Derek Carr has been on a tear, and he's a QB1 over the last three weeks, ranking 12th with 19.9 fantasy points per game. He's had a couple of soft matchups in that stretch, but the Chargers are nothing special against the pass (23rd in Football Outsiders' pass defense DVOA rankings), and they're not likely to slow him down much. Carr is one of the top streaming quarterback options for Week 10.
#Raiders Derek Carr over his last 5 games is 106 for 152 (69.7%) for 1,285 yards (8.5 per attempts) with 9 TDs, 1 INT, 2 sacks and 112.4 rating

Start Mike Williams, WR, Los Angeles Chargers: Mike Williams' 54 targets on the season are the most for any receiver that has not scored a touchdown. Considering his 10 TDs on 89 targets in his first two NFL seasons (and even his now-career average 7.0 percent TD rate), the scoring is going to start coming for Williams. This is as good a spot as any for Williams' TD numbers to pick back up, as Oakland is allowing a league-high 2.8 passing touchdowns per game, and they rank just 29th in pass defense DVOA.

Who do I Start Fantasy Football
Sit Austin Ekeler, RB, Los Angeles Chargers: The Chargers played their first game after the firing of Ken Wisenhunt in Week 9, and Austin Ekeler was on the field for a season-low 34 percent of the offensive snaps. Some of that had to do with the fact that they were playing with a lead, but his volume recent volume (five touches, 12 touches and eight touches in the three games before that) is also concerning. He could still prove to carry plenty of fantasy value, but his decreasing role means we should approach him with caution in Week 10.
Sit Hunter Renfrow, WR, Oakland Raiders: Hunter Renfrow has touchdowns in each of the last two games, but his volume is still low enough to be a concern. His snap share fell to 54 percent in Week 9, and over the last four games he's averaging just 4.8 targets, even though No. 1 WR Tyrell Williams was sidelined for two of those contests.
